In this incipit is my essence. I am both characters, and something more. I tell stories, with words and images, and listen to stories in all forms of art. Because there is nothing more beautiful than a story that comes to mind and brings a happy memory with it.

AUTHOR

Someone once said that a writer must take a reader by the hand and walk with him/her for a while, along a path that did not exist before. At the end of the story, the reader must be in a different place than the one from which he/she started.
My role as an author is exactly to keep you company for a small part of the journey and, in the meantime, to tell you a story. I have been writing from the first moment I learned to hold a pen in my hand, and I’ve been reading since I fell in love with Gianni Rodari’s stories. So far, the genre that fascinates me most – as a reader and as a writer – is the one that contains a mystery to unravel, because nothing, in my opinion, has more value than an intelligent and witty use of the brain.

JOURNALIST

I belong to the National Register of Journalists, Umbria section, since 2009. For a national newspaper (“Il Messaggero”) I wrote articles to describe nature (due to my degree in Natural Sciences), to connect wild herbs to traditional uses and legends, to remember some local traditions, in particular of the city of Terni.
I created and I was responsible for an online magazine called “Sfogliamento”, which dealt with nature, books, sciences, curiosities. Now it is temporary asleep, waiting for the right time to come back.
Here in Denmark I maintain a fortnightly newsletter in Italian, called “Dante Racconta“, to give Italian enthusiasts some positive news and touristic suggestions.

TEACHER

For more than fifteen years, I have been helping Danes who are passionate about Italy and Italian to learn more about the language, traditions and curiosities of my country.
Before that, I worked as an environmental educator, helping people of all ages to translate the natural landscapes around them, discovering curiosities about plants and animals and walking in different environments, from dunes to mountains.

EDITOR

At the moment, all my books (textbooks for Danish students, novels and short stories) are released by Snakkemedmax I / S, a small Danish publishing house of which I’m the co-founder and co-owner.
